Overview
Sem Pringpuangkeo Foundation was established under the name of Dr. Sem Pringpuangkeo in order to provide educational support to HIV/AIDS orphans in the six upper northern provinces of Thailand. With the constant contributions from various organizations and donors, more than 1,000 underprivileged orphans from the three rural districts in Chiang Rai, Phayao, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Mae Hong Son and Lampang Provinces have been able to continue their education which range from kindergarten to university levels.
The aim of the Foundation is principally to break the cycle of children who come from such environment of homelessness, drug addiction, crime and prostitution, to reduce the economic and social gap as well as to provide active visits to the children by the Foundation’s staff to mentor the children’s lives.
